• AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS , EN-
TITLED "POLICE DEPARTMENT" TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PATROLMEN .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS .
Section 1 . Section 8- 1 of Chapter 8 of the City Code of
. Elgin be , . an�i it hereby is , amended to provided,tfterein for
fifty-fiv-e'`15g) patrolmen, in lieu of the fifty-t- ( 55)
previously provided therein , in the Elgin Police Department .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of no further
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this Ordinance will be effective from
and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
