AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN ENTITLED FIRE
DEPARTMENT" TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FIRE CAPTAINS IN SAID
DEPARTMENT .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN ,
ILLINOIS .
Section 1 . That Section 9 . 101 and 9 . 102 of Chapter 9
of the City Code of Elgin , be, and they hereby are , amended
to provide therein in each instance for seven ( 7) captains ,
in lieu of the six ( 6) previously provided therein , in the
Elgin Fire Department .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and of no further
force and effect .
Section 3 . That this Ordinance will be effective from and
afters its passage as provided by law and shall be published in
pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
