AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS EN-
TITLED , "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant to
the Statutes of the State of Illinois , and the provisions of
the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have been
duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Sub-Section B of Section 21-106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended ,
be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto the
following paragraph :
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out
in the "Zoning District Map" , as amended , be , and
they hereby are , altered by excluding from R-2 , Single
Family Residence District , and including in R-4 , General
Residence District , the following described premises .
That part of the Southwest quarter of Section 10 ,
Township 41 North , Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian , described as follows : Commencing
at the point of intersection of the center line of
Wing Street with the East line of said Southwest
quarter ; thence North along the East line of said
Southwest quarter, 203 . 18 feet for the place of
beginning ; thence West at right angles to said East
line , 176 . 2 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line
forming an angle of 104 degrees 48 minutes measured
from East to South to Southwest with the last des-
cribed line , 134 . 11 feet to the center line of said
Wing Street ; thence Northwesterly along said center
line 760 feet more or less to the center line of
Tyler Creek; thence Northeasterly , Southeasterly ,
Southerly , Easterly and Northeasterly along the
center line of Tyler Creek , 990 feet more or less
to the East line of the Southwest quarter of said
Section 10 ; thence Southerly , along said East line ,
262 feet more or less to the place of beginning ,
Being situated in the City of Elgin , Kane County ,
Illinois .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be, and the same hereby are , repealed and
of no further force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage as provided by law and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City
Council .
