AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO . G- 1309 PASSED MARCH 12 , 1969 ,
AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL USE TO BE ESTABLISHED ON CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF ELGIN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND
MAINTENANCE OF A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , Ordinance No . G-1309 passed March 12 , 1969 ,
classified certain property within the corporate limits of
the City of Elgin as R- 5 General Residence District and
authorized a Special Use thereon for a Planned Development
for Residential Purposes , and
WHEREAS , the owners and developers of said tract of
land have petitioned the City Council to amend said Ordinance
for the sole purpose of changing the site plan of the buildings
to be situated thereon , and
WHEREAS , said change in location of the building will in
no way increase the floor area ratio or minimum lot area
dwelling unit requirements or the general over-all plan of
the development , and
WHEREAS , such proposed change in the site plan has been
submitted to , and approved by , the Plan Commission of the City
of Elgin , and
WHEREAS , in the opinion of the City Council the duly
proposed site plan is superior to the originally approved
site plan and it is to the best interest of the general public
that said Ordinance be amended to permit the newly proposed
site plan .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Ordinance No . G- 1305 passed March 12 ,
1969 , be , and the same hereby is , amended in the following
manner , to-wit:
"By providing that the site plan and location of
the principal buildings to be erected upon the
subject real estate be in accordance with the site
plan for "Watch Tower Apartments " dated October 6 ,
1969 , and identified as sheet P . la prepared by
Karson , Besinger & Associates , Inc . , heretofore
submitted to the City of Elgin , and identified
by the petitioners herein , and placed on file
with the Department of Engineering and Inspection
of the City of Elgin , which plat shows the
location of buildings and improvements contem-
e"` plated and approved in and for said planned
development and which plat is hereby made a part
of and incorporated into this Ordinance . "
Section 2 . That said new location and new site plan and
location of buildings shall be in lieu of and supercede the cite
plan and plat described in sub-paragraph of Section 3 of said
Ordinance No . G-1309 as originally passed .
Section 3 . That said Ordinance No . G-1309 shall in no way
be changed or modified other than as herein provided and shall
remain in full force and effect .
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage as provided by law and shall
be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
