A.N ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES IN SECTIQI 21, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH,
RANGE 8 , EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, SITUATED IN
ELGIN TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, TO THE CITY OF ELGIN,
KANE COUNTY , ILLINOIS..
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all of the owners of record of the
territories hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk and no
electors reside on said territories, and
WHEREAS, said territories are not within the corporate limits of
any municipality and are contiguous to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and
WHEREAS, said petition requests the annexation of such territories
to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and contains therein, a statement under oath
that all of the owners of record of all land within such territories have joined
in such petition and that no electors reside thereon, and
WHEREAS, such property is presently zoned for heavy business uses
and light manufacturing uses, all as designated B -3 District - Business, as
set forth in the Zoning Ordinance of Kane County, Illinois, and the petition
requests that such territories , if annexed to the City of Elgin, be zoned as
M-1 Limited Manufacturing District, which classification will continue to
permit the same or similar uses, as permissable under the B-3 District
classification of the Zoning Ordinance of Kane County, Illinois, so as to con-
form with the present zoning within the County.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows,
to-wit:
That part of Section 21, Township 41 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of South Street
with the West line of Second Street, extended Northerly;
thence Southerly, along the West line of Second Street, ex- '
tended Northerly and along the West line of Second Street,
and said West line extended Southerly, being also the West
line of Burnidge Bros . Industrial Park, being a subdivision of
part of Sections 21 and 22, Township and Range aforesaid, a
distance of 1982.48 feet to the Northerly line of lands formerly
owned by the State of Illinois by Document No. 498148; thence
Westerly,along said Northerly line, a distance of 3918. 71 feet
to the West line of the East half of the East half of Section 21,
ras aforesaid; thence Northerly, along the West line of the East
1 half of the East half of said Section 21, a distance of 1980 feet
more or less to the center line of South Street; thence East-

erly, along the center line of South Street, a distance of
3923 feet more or less-to the place of beginning. EXCE -

PTING THEREFROM that part of the-above described prop-
erty to be used as a lake. Being,situated in Elgin Township,
Kane County, Illinois .
be, and they are hereby, annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin,
Iliinois, and that the boundary lines of the City be, and they are hereby,
enlarged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries thereof,
the said described territories .
Section 2. That the territories hereinbefore described be, and
they are hereby, included in the M-1 Light Manufacturing District, as
set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of
Elgin, Illinois), as amended.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with
an accurate map of the said annexed territory, be filed with the Recorder
of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois .
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form
by authority of the City Council.

desires to annex the following Real Estate owned by the First

The aforesaid Annexation will be considered by the City Council
of the City of Elgin at its Council meeting at the City Hall, 202 East
Chicago Street, Elgin, Illinois, on December 27, 1967 at 7:30 o'clock
P.M.
