(ow AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ELECTION PRECINCTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Relating to Elec-
tion Precincts" passed December 31, 1942, as amended, be and it is hereby
amended by adding to or changing the Precinct Boundaries as set forth in
Section 1 of said ordinance as amended, as follows:
Precinct No. 33 By repealing the precinct boundaries as set forth in said
ordinance as amended and adopting in lieu thereof the following: All that
part of the City of Elgin lying within the following described boundaries,
to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of South Street and
the east line extended northerly of Block 7 of Sunset Park Addition to Elgin;
thence south along the east line extended northerly and the east lines of
Block 7 and the east line extended southerly of Block 7 to the south line of
Section 22, Elgin Township; thence westerly along the south line of Section 22
extended to the center line of Randall Road; thence northerly along the said
center line to the center line of U.S. Route 20 By-Pass; thence southeasterly
along said center line to the center line of South Street extended; thence
northeasterly along said center line to the center line of Weston Avenue;
thence northerly along said center line to the center line of Meyers Street;
thence easterly along said center line to the center line of Edison Avenue;
thence southerly along said center line to the center line of South Street;
thence northeasterly along said center line to the place of beginning.
Precinct No. 34 By repealing the precinct boundaries as set forth in said
ordinance as amended and adopting in lieu thereof the following: All that
part of the City of Elgin lying within the following described boundaries,
to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Morgan Street
and South State Street in the City of Elgin; thence northerly along the cen-
ter line of South State Street to the center line of Harding Street; thence
easterly along the center line of Harding Street and said center line ex-
tended to the center thread of Fox River; thence southerly and southwesterly
along the center thread of Fox River to the southerly corporate boundary;
thence westerly along the southerly corporate boundary to the east line ex-
tended of Block 7 of Sunset Park Addition to the City of Elgin; thence nor-
therly along said east line extended to the center line of U.S. Route 20 By
Pass; thence easterly along said center line to the center line of Moseley
Street extended; thence northerly along the center line of. Moseley Street to
the center line of Morgan Street; thence easterly along the center line of
Morgan Street to the center line of South State Street and the place of be-
• ginning.
Precinct No. 41 By repealing the precinct boundaries as set forth in said
ordinance as amended and adopting in lieu thereof the following: All that
part of the City of Elgin lying within the following described boundaries,
to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Larkin Avenue
and Edison Avenue; thence westerly and southwesterly along the center line
of Larkin Avenue (Route 20) to the center line of Randall Road; thence nor-
therly along the center line of Randall Road to the center line of Highland

Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Highland Avenue to the center

line of Edison Avenue; thence southerly along the center line of Edison Avenue
to the center line of Larkin Avenue and the place of beginning.
Precinct No. 47 By repealing the precinct boundaries as set forth in said or-
dinance as amended and adopting in lieu thereof the following: All that part
of the City of Elgin lying within the following described boundaries, to-wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Big Timber Road and the
center thread of Tyler Creek; thence southwesterly along the center thread of
Tyler Creek to the intersection with the center line of Tyler Avenue; thence
northwesterly along the center line of Tyler Avenue to the southeastern boun-
dary of Eagle Heights; thence southwesterly along the southern boundary of
Eagle Heights and the southern boundary of Eagle Heights extended westerly to
the intersection with the center line of Section 9, Elgin Township; thence
northerly along the center line of Section 9, Elgin Township, and the center
line of Section 4, Elgin Township, to the intersection with the center line of
Big Timber Road; thence southeasterly along the center line of Big Timber Road
to the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Road; thence northerly along the center
line of Sleepy Hollow Road to the center line of Century Oaks Drive; thence
easterly along said center line to the center line of Parkview Drive; thence
southeasterly and southerly along said center line to the said center line of
Hillcrest Drive; thence southwesterly and southerly along said center line
to the center line of Big Timber Road; thence easterly along said center line
to the intersection with the center thread of Tyler Creek and the place of
beginning.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts thereof in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed and of no further force and effect.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage as provided by law, and shall be published in pamphlet
form by authority of the City Council.
