TO AMEND AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE
ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT AS PERTAINS TO THE
SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section IV of Ordinance S-549 passed May 2, 1955,
entitled:
" AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE
ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT."
as amended, be, and the same hereby is, amended in the following manner,
to-wit:
a. That the salary provided for the City Manager be strickened
and the salary of $20, 000. 00 be inserted in lieu thereof.
That the salary increase provided above for the City
Manager be, and the same is, retroactive effective July 1,
1967.
b. That effective January 1, 1968, the annual salary for the
City Manager be, and it hereby is , established at $21, 000.00.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage, as provided by law, and shall be published in pamphlet form by
authority of the City Council.
