AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF THE -SIDEWALK ORDINANCE AS IT
PERTAINS TO A CERTAIN PORTION CF SCHILLER STREET IN THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Elgin requesting
authorization for the modification of the Sidewalk Ordinance on a certain
street in the City of Elgin, Illinois , and
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority given by resolution of the City
Council, the City Manager reviewed the request and has recommended,
in view of the general terrain of the area and the location of the existing
sidewalk thereon, that such modification is desirable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That a curb line sidewalk of approved specifications
be, and such hereby is , authorized to be constructed upon and along the
following street in the City of Elgin, Illinois, to-wit:
Schiller Street on the South side thereof between North State
Street and McClure Avenue.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict here-
with be repealed and of no further force and effect.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after
its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by
authority of the City Council.
