S-825 t T Ordinance No. 5-825 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES SITUATED IN ELGIN TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, TO THE CITY OF ELGIN, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS a petition signed by all of the owners of record of the terri- tories hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk and no electors reside thereon, and WHEREAS, said territories are not within the corporate limits of any municipality and are contiguous to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and WHEREAS, said petition requests that the annexation of such territories to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and contains therein a statement under oath that all of the owners of record of all of the land within such territories have joined in such petition and that no electors reside thereon, and WHEREAS, said petition requests that in the event said lands are annexed to the City of Elgin, that eleven parcels thereof, being identified on an Exhibit to said Petition identified as "Plat For Rezoning No. D-17380" be zoned as follows; under the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois) as amended, to-wit: Parcel 1 - R-5; Parcel 2 - R-4; Parcel 3 - R-3; Parcel 4 - R-3; Parcel 5 - R-3; Parcel 6 - R-4; Parcel 7 - R-3; Parcel 8 - R-4; Parcel 9 - R-3; Parcel 10 - R-4; Parcel 11 = R-5; and that the balance of the property be zoned R-2, Single Family Residence Dist- rict, as provided in said zoning ordinance upon annexation. WHEREAS, the matter of zoning was referred to the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Elgin to publish notice and conduct the necessary public hearing, all as in the statute made and provided, and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Elgin has duly advertised and held a public hearing pertaining to the zoning of said property and has recommended that the lands be classified in the various districts requested by the petitioner as provided by the Elgin Zoning Ordinance, as amended, and WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered and reviewed said petition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1, That the territories and lands described as follows, to-wit: 1 distance of 81. 9 feet; thence Northwesterly along said Westerly line, being along a curve to the right having a radius of 398. 26 feet and be- ing tangent to the last described curve, a distance of 80. 0 feet to the most Easterly corner of Lot 208 in said Fifth Addition to Century Oaks; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 208, a distance of 195. 0 feet to the most Southerly corner thereof; thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of said Lot 208 a distance of 125. 0 feet to the most Westerly corner thereof; thence Northeasterly along the Northwesterly line of said Lot 208, a distance of 189. 3 feet to the most Northerly corner thereof; thence Northwesterly along the Westerly line of Parkview Drive as aforesaid; being along a curve to the right having a radius of 398. 26 feet, a distance of 47. 85 feet; thence Northwesterly along said Westerly line, being tangent to the last des- cribed curve, a distance of 10. 0 feet; thence Northwesterly and Westerly along a curve to the left having a radius of 100. 61 feet and being tangent to the last described course, a distance of 143. 69 feet to the Southerly line of Century Oaks Drive as platted in the Fourth Addition to Century Oaks as aforesaid; thence Westerly along said Southerly line, being tan- gent to the last described curve, a distance of 302. 0 feet; thence Wester- ly along said Southerly line, being along a curve to the right having a radius of 1131. 41 feet and being tangent to the last described course, a distance of 235. 7 feet; thence Westerly along said Southerly line, being tangent to the last described curve, a distance of 1522. 4 feet to a point elk on the Westerly line extended Southerly of Forest Drive as platted in said Fourth Addition to Century Oaks; thence Northerly along said Westerly line extended Southerly, a distance of 66. 06 feet to the Northerly line extended Westerly of Century Oaks Drive as aforesaid; thence Westerly along said Northerly line extended Westerly a distance of 260 feet more or less to the West line of Sleepy Hollow Road; thence Southerly along said West line, a distance of 2564 feet more or less to the South line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; thence Easterly along said South line, a distance of 73 feet more or less to the East line of McLean Boulevard; thence Northerly along the East line of McLean Boulevard extended Northerly, a distance of 100 feet more or less to the South line of Big Timber Road; thence Easterly along said South line; a distance of 2360 feet more or less to a point on the West line extended Southerly of Lot 60 in said Second Addition to Century Oaks; thence Northerly along said West line extended Southerly, a distance of 80 feet more or less to the place of beginning, being situated in Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois.
