AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING A MODIFICATION OF THE SIDEWALK ORDINANCE AS IT
PERTAINS TO MARGUERITE AND CARR STREETS IN THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, various petitions have been filed with the City of Elgin re-
questing authorization for the modification of the Sidewalk Ordinance on various
streets in the City of Elgin, Illinois, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority given by resolution of the City Counsil
the City Manager has reviewed the individual requests and has recommended,
in view of the general terrain of the various areas and the location of existing
sidewalks thereon, such modifications are desirable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That a curb line sidewalk of approved specifications be, and
such hereby is, authorized to be constructed upon and along the following
streets in the City of Elgin, Illinois, to-wit:
Marguerite Street on the East side thereof, between Orange Street
and Oak Street.
Carr Street on the South side thereof, between South Alfred Avenue
and South Aldine Street.
Section 2. That all ordinances of parts thereof in conflict herewith
be repealed and of no further force and effect.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage, as provided by law, and shall be published in pamphlet form by
authority of the City Council.
