S-815 VOLUME XXX December 23, 1965 418 Ordinance No. S-815 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV, ENTITLED "THE ADOPTION AND ADMINISTRA- TION OF POSITION, CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS", OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE CITY CODE (ORDINANCE NO. S-569 PASSED DECEMBER 23, 1955) AS PERTAINS TO THE CREATION OF AND THE PAY RANGES FOR CERTAIN POSITIONS. WHEREAS in the considered opinion of the City Council of the City of Elgin, it is fit and proper and to the best interest of the community that the official salary plan of the City of Elgin employees, be, from time to time, reviewed and amended in relationship to economic conditions that exist from time to time. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Schedule II forming a part of Article IV of Chapter 6 of the City Code be and the same hereby is amended in the following manner, to-wit: (a) By eliminating the positions of Water Meter Repairman and Water Meter Technician. (b) By creating the position of Construction Inspector and including the same in Pay Range No. 15. (c) By changing the position of Cemetery Director from Pay Range No. 14 to Pay Range No. 16. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed and of no further force and effect. Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be effective January 1, 1966, and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. Clyde L. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Section IV of Ordinance No. S-549, passed May 2, 1955, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT", as amended, be, and the same hereby is, amended in the following manner, to-wit: By striking the portion thereof relating to the retainer of the City Attorney and inserting in lieu thereof the following: The City Attorney $4, 200. 00 Section 2.
