AN ORDINANCE
DONATING CERTAIN REAL ESTATE TO THE CENTRAL AREA REDEVELOP-
MENT URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT NO. ILL. Rm44.
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin, Illinois, has prior hereto acquired title
to certain parcels of real estate for off=street parking purposes which are no
longer necessary for such specific use, but are needed for the Central Area Re-
development Urban Renewal Project No. Ill. Rm44, said parcels being more
particularly described as Urban Renewal Parcels Nos. 3-1, 3=2, 3-10 and 3-14,
plats of said parcels being attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the City. of Elgin, Illinois, does hereby officially donate
to the Central Area Redevelopment Urban Renewal Project No. I1.1. R-44 certain
parcels of real estate owned by the City and described as follows, to-wit:
PARCELS 3=1 and 3-2:
That part of Lot 28 of Fox River Manufacturing Company's Addi-
tion to Elgin and part of the Northeast quarter of Section 14,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of
Kimball Street 411. 8 feet West of the West line of North Grove
Avenue; thence South 0° 55' East 109. 7 feet; thence South 64°
19' West to the Easterly bank of the Fox River; thence Northerly
along said Easterly bank to the Southerly line of Kimball Street;
thence Easterly along said Southerly line to the point of beginning
(except that part falling in Race Street), in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois.
PARCELS 3=10 and 3=14:
PARCEL ONE:
Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, E2, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24,
25 and 26 (except that part of said Lot 26 lying Northerly of a line
drawn North 69° 30' West from the Southeast corner thereof) and
the vacated alley lying between said Lots 8 and 9, all in Fox River
Manufacturing Company's Addition to Elgin, in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois.

Attached please find thernofax copy of resolutions
used by Roc& Island to transfer "properties" from City owner-
ship to the project.
Also attached is an "attest" by the City Clerk and
"plat" of the properties donated.
When the City has accomplished this transfer certified
copies must be submitted to HHFA under cover of fora H-6202.
This, of course, is not done until the city wishes to take credit
for the donation.
When the resolution has been passed by the City Council
please have the City Clerk deliver fear copies to the Urban Re-
newal department where the H-6202 will be prepared for the City
Manager's signature.
