S-791 Ordinance No. S-791 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A MODIFICATION OF THE SIDEWALK ORDINANCE AS IT PERTAINS TO CERTAIN PORTIONS OF MALLERY, WING AND MURRAY STREETS AND SHULER, CEDAR AND NORTH ALFRED AVENUES IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, various petitions have been filed with the City of Elgin requesting authorization for the modification of the Sidewalk Ordinance on various streets in the City of Elgin, Illinois, and WHEREAS, pursuant to authority given by resolution of the City Council, the City Manager has reviewed the individual requests and has recommended, in view of the general terrain of the various areas and the location of existing sidewalks thereon, such modifications are desirable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That a curb line sidewalk of approved specifications be, and such hereby is, authorized to be constructed upon and along the follow- ing streets in the City of Elgin, Illinois, to-wit: Mallery Street on the East side thereof, betweeti Carr Street and Erie Street. Shuler Avenue on the South side thereof, between South Worth Avenue and South DuBois Street. Wing Street on the North side thereof, between McLean Boulevard and North Aldine Street. Cedar Avenue on the East side thereof, between River Bluff Road and the Northerly end of said Cedar Avenue, Section 2. That a sidewalk of approved specifications be, and such hereby is, authorized to be constructed upon and along the East side of North Alfred Avenue between Demmond Street and Wing Street in such a manner that the Westerly edge of said sidewalk shall lie at a point 3 feet distance from the curb line of said North Alfred Avenue. r Section 3. That a sidewalk of approved specifications be, and such hereby is, authorized to be constructed upon and along the South side of Murray Street between Mabel Street and McClure Avenue in such a manner that the Northerly edge of said sidewalk shall lie at a point 6 feet distance from the curb line of said Murray Street. Section 4. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be repealed and of no further force and effect. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage, as provided by law, and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. Clyde L.
