S-782 Ordinance No. S-782 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET IN THE THIRD ADDITION TO BLACKHAWK MANOR IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, a certain portion of a public street located and platted in the Third Addition to Blackhawk Manor in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, has never been improved, maintained or used for street purposes, and WHEREAS, the public interests will be subserved by the vacation of the following described portion of said public street, to-wit: That part of the Third Addition to Blackhawk Manor, being a subdivision of part of Sections 6 and 7, Township 41 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof registered in the office of the Registrar of Title of Cook County on January 9, 1958 as Document No. 1776797, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of Lot 212 in the Second Addition to Blackhawk Manor, being a subdivision of part of Sections 6 and 7 as aforesaid; thence Southerly along the Westerly line extended Southerly of said Lot 212, a distance of 40. 0 feet to a point on the South line extended Westerly ofa public alley for the place of beginning; thence Easterly along said Southerly line extended Westerly a distance of 104. 92 feet; to a point on the South line of said public alley; thence Southwesterly along a curve to the left being tangent to said South line having a radius of 25. 0 feet, a distance of 39. 2 feet to a point on the East line of Indian Drive as platted in said Third Addition to Blackhawk Manor; thence Southerly along said East line tangent to the last de- scribed curve, a distance of 365. 30 feet to a point on the Northerly line of Shoe Factory Road; thence Westerly along said Northerly line, a distance of 66. 0 feet; thence Northerly along the West line of said Indian Drive, a distance of 276. 64 feet; thence Northwesterly along a curve to the left having a radius of 101. 95 feet, a distance of 55 feet more or less to a point on the Westerly line extended Southerly of Lot 212 as aforesaid; thence Northerly along said Westerly line extended Southerly a distance of 65 feet more or less to the place of be- ginning. Being situated in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois. r NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. Being situated in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, be, and the same hereby is, vacated for street purposes. Section 2. That the City of Elgin does hereby reserve to itself and to any and all public utility companies owning any public service facilities in any part of said:street. vacated by this ordinance, full right of ingress and egress in and from said street, for the purpose of continuing or ex- tending public service facilities and for the further purpose of maintenance, renewal, extension, construction or reconstruction of any such public service facilities. Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with a plat of the portion of said public street vacated, be filed with the Registrar of Torrens Titles of Cook County, Illinois. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. Clyde L.
