S-755 r 1 Ordinance No. S-755 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES IN SECTIONS 15 AND 16, TOWN- HIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN" um TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS TO THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, a petition signed by all of the owners of record and no electors reside on the land hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, said petition requests the annexation of such territories to the City of Elgin and contains statements therein under oath that all of the owners of record of such lands have joined in such petition, and no electors reside thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows, to-wit: PARCEL 1: That part of Sections 15 and 16, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian de- scribed as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the line between said Sections 15 and 16 with the center line of Larkin Avenue (U. S. Route 20); thence Southwesterly along said center line, a distance of 420.45 feet to the East line of Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms Subdivi- sion, being a subdivision of part of said Section 16; thence Northerly along said East line, a distance of 575.0 feet to the Northeast corner of Block 6 of said Walter G. EXCEPTING THEREFROM that part of the above described property lying Easterly of the East line and the East line ex- tended Northerly of Fox River Farms Subdivision, as aforesaid. PARCEL 2: That part of the Southeast quarter of Sec- tion 16, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Commencing at the center of said Section 16; thence Southerly along the West line of the Southeast quarter of said Section 16, a distance of 376.49 feet to a point in said West line that is 350. 0 feet Northerly of the North line of Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms, a subdivision in part of the South half of said Section 16; thence con- tinuing Southerly along the West line of said Southeast quarter a distance of 350. 0 feet to the North line of said Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms; thence Easterly along the North line of said Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms a distance of 674. 32 feet to the center line of Airlite Street, as platted in said Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms; thence Northe rly along the center line of Airlite Street extended Northerly, a distance of 350. 0 feet; thence Westerly a distance of 675. 5 feet to the place of beginning. All of the above being situated in Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois. being contiguous to the City of Elgin and not a part of any municipality be and they are hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin. Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of Elgin be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries thereof the above described territories. Section 3. That said territories be and they are hereby included in R-2 Single Family Residence District as set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois.) rok i Section 4. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said annexed territories be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois. 115 Section 5.
