AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES IN SECTIONS 15 AND 16, TOWN-
HIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN
IN" um TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS TO THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all of the owners of record and no
electors reside on the land hereinafter described has been filed with the
City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, said petition requests the annexation of such territories
to the City of Elgin and contains statements therein under oath that all of
the owners of record of such lands have joined in such petition, and no
electors reside thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows,
to-wit:
PARCEL 1: That part of Sections 15 and 16, Township 41
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian de-
scribed as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the
line between said Sections 15 and 16 with the center line of
Larkin Avenue (U. S. Route 20); thence Southwesterly along
said center line, a distance of 420.45 feet to the East line
of Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms Subdivi-
sion, being a subdivision of part of said Section 16; thence
Northerly along said East line, a distance of 575.0 feet to
the Northeast corner of Block 6 of said Walter G. McIntosh
and Co's Fox River Farms Subdivision for the place of be-
ginning; thence Northeasterly along a line that forms an angle
of 75 degrees 59 minutes to the right with the prolongation of
the last described course, a distance of 721. 16 feet; thence
Southerly along a curve to the right having a radius of 730. 54
feet, the chord of said curve forms an angle of 95 degrees 02
minutes to the right with the prolongation of the last described
course, a distance of 209. 70 feet; thence Southerly tangent to
the last described curve, a distance of 359.40 feet to the cen-
ter line of Larkin Avenue (U. S. Route 20); thence Northeasterly
along said center line, a distance of 82. 18 feet; thence Northerly
along a line that forms an angle of 76 degrees 47 minutes to the
left with the prolongation of the last described course, a distance
of 340. 61 feet; thence Northwesterly along a curve to the left
having a radius of 810. 54 feet and being tangent to the last
described course, a distance of 690. 81 feet; thence North-
westerly tangent to the last described curve, a distance of
66. 35 feet; thence Northwesterly along a line that forms an
angle of 20 degrees 13 minutes to the right with the prolonga-
tion of the last described course, a distance of 60.0 feet;
thence Northeasterly along a curve to the right having a radius
of 326. 74 feet, the chord of said curve forms an angle of 94
degrees 23 minutes to the right with the prolongation of the
last described course, a distance of 50.0 feet; thence North-
westerly along a line that forms an angle of 86 degrees 32 minutes
to the left with the prolongation of the chord of the last described
curve, a distance of 156. 86 feet; thence Westerly along a line
that forms an angle of 69 degrees 22 minutes to the left with the
prolongation of the last described course, a distance of 150.0 feet;
thence Northerly at right angles to the last described course, a
distance of 130. 0 feet; thence Westerly at right angles to the last
described course, a distance of 100. 85 feet; thence Northerly at
right angles to the last described course, a distance of 60. 0 feet;
thence Westerly at right angles to the last described course, a
distance of 171. 27 feet; thence Northwesterly along a curve to the
right having a radius of 1088. 71 feet, the chord of said curve
forms an angle of 67 degrees 33 minutes to the right with the pro-
longation of the last described course, a distance of 135.32 feet;
thence Westerly along a line that forms an angle of 67 degrees
33 minutes to the left with the prolongation of the chord of the last
described curve, a distance of 1153. 85 feet; thence Southerly at
right angles to the last described course, a distance of 125.0 feet;
thence Westerly at right angles to the last described course, a
distance of 60.0 feet; thence Southerly at right angles to the last
described course, a distance of 30.0 feet; thence Southerly along
a curve to the right having a radius of 837.08 feet and being tangent
to the last described course, a distance of 16. 82 feet; thence West-
erly along a line that forms an angle of 90 degrees 13 minutes to the
right with the prolongation of the chord of the last described curve,
a distance of 134.83 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line that
forms an angle of 80 degrees 18 minutes to the left with the pro-
longation of the last described course, a distance of 224. 53 feet;
thence Southwesterly along a line that forms an angle of 15 degrees
10 minutes to the right with the prolongation of the last described
course, a distance of 150.0 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line
that forms an angle of 6 degrees 42 minutes to the right with the
prolongation of the last described course, a distance of 150.0 feet;
thence Southeasterly at right angles to the last described course,
a distance of 135. 0 feet; thence Southwesterly at right angles to
the last described course, a distance of 115.0 feet; thence South-
westerly along a curve to the left having a radius of 566. 63 feet
and being tangent to the last described course, a distance of 47. 88
feet to the point on a line that is 350. 0 feet Northerly of and parallel
with the North line of Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms

• Subdivision as aforesaid; thence Westerly along said
parallel line, a distance of 29. 15 feet to a point on the
center line extended Northerly of Airlite Street; thence
Southerly along said Center line extended Northerly,
a distance of 350. 0 feet to the North line of said Walter
G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms Subdivision;
thence Easterly along said North line, a distance of
1569. 94 feet to the place of beginning. EXCEPTING
THEREFROM that part of the above described property
lying Easterly of the East line and the East line ex-
tended Northerly of Fox River Farms Subdivision, as
aforesaid.
PARCEL 2: That part of the Southeast quarter of Sec-
tion 16, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian described as follows: Commencing
at the center of said Section 16; thence Southerly along
the West line of the Southeast quarter of said Section 16,
a distance of 376.49 feet to a point in said West line
that is 350. 0 feet Northerly of the North line of Walter
G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms, a subdivision
in part of the South half of said Section 16; thence con-
tinuing Southerly along the West line of said Southeast
quarter a distance of 350. 0 feet to the North line of said
Walter G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms; thence
Easterly along the North line of said Walter G. McIntosh
and Co's Fox River Farms a distance of 674. 32 feet to
the center line of Airlite Street, as platted in said Walter
G. McIntosh and Co's Fox River Farms; thence Northe rly
along the center line of Airlite Street extended Northerly,
a distance of 350. 0 feet; thence Westerly a distance of
675. 5 feet to the place of beginning.
All of the above being situated in Elgin Township, Kane
County, Illinois.
being contiguous to the City of Elgin and not a part of any municipality be
and they are hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of Elgin be and they
are hereby enlarged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries
thereof the above described territories.
Section 3. That said territories be and they are hereby included
in R-2 Single Family Residence District as set forth in the Elgin Zoning
Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois.)

Section 4. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with
an accurate map of said annexed territories be filed with the Recorder
of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois. 115
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in
pamphlet form by authority of the City Council.
