S745 Ordinance No. S-745 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A MODIFICATION OF THE SIDEWALK ORDINANCE AS IT PERTAINS TO A CERTAIN PORTION OF MEYER STREET WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council requesting authorization for modification of the Sidewalk Ordinance on the South side of a portion of Meyer Street, in the City of Elgin, Illinois, and WHEREAS, in the considered opinion of the City Council, in view of the general terrain of the area and the location of existing sidewalks therein, such a modification is desirable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE(GITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS. Section 1. That a sidewalk of approved specifications be, and such hereby is, authorized to be constructed upon and along the South side of Meyer Street, in the City of Elgin, between South Melrose Avenue and Alfred Avenue in such a manner, so that the Northerly edge of said sidewalk shall lie at a point three feet distance from the curb line of the said Meyer Street. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be repealed and of no further force and effect. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. Clyde L.
