S-732 Ordinance No. Sa 732 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES IN ELGIN TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, TO THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, a petition signed by all of the owners of record of the territories hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk and no electors reside on said territories, and WHEREAS, said territories are not within the corporate limits of any municipality and are contiguous to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and WHEREAS, said petition requests the annexation of such territories to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and contains therein a statement under oath that all of the owners of record of all land within such territories have joined in such petition and that no electors reside thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows, to-wit: Part of the Southwest quarter of Section 15, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Southwest quarter; thence Northerly along the East line of said Southwest quarter, a distance of 90. 9 feet to the North line of Erie Street ex- tended; thence Westerly along the North line of Erie Street extended and along the North line of Erie Street, a distance of 969. 73 feet; thence Northerly parallel with the East line of said Southwest quarter, a distance of 1016. 24 feet for the place of beginning; thence continuing Northerly along the last described course, a distance of 807. 99 feet to the center line of U. S. Route 20 (Larkin Avenue); thence Southwesterly along said center line, a distance of 386. 67 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the East line of said Southwest quarter, a distance of 538. 92 feet; thence Westerly parallel with the North line of Country Knolls, Unit No. 1 (being a subdivision of part of Sections 15 and 22, Township and Range aforesaid) extended Westerly, a distance of 225. 0 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the East line of said South- west quarter, a distance of 180. 0 feet; thence Easterly parallel with the North line of said Country Knolls, Unit No. ll extended Westerly, a distance of 600. 0 feet to the place of beginning. Contain- ing 7. 50 Acres more or less and being situated 411) in Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois. be and they are hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin, Illinois, and that the boundary lines of the City of Elgin, be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries thereof the said described territories, Section 2. That the territories hereinbefore described be and they hereby are included in the R-2 Single Family Residence District as set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois as amended. Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map of the said annexed territory, be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois. Section 4, That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. 1 Clyde L.
