AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES IN COLUMBIA PARK ApDITION
IN THE TOWNSHIP OF ELGIN, KANE COUNTY, .ILLINOIS, TO THE
CITY OF ELGIN.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all of the owners of record and
electors residing on the land hereinafter described has been filed with
the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, said petition request the annexation of such territories
to the City of Elgin and contains statements therein under oath that all of
the owners of record and electors residing on such lands have joined in
such petition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territorial. and lands described as follows, to-wit:
Lot 1 and the West 36. 2 feet of Lot 2 in Block I of Columbia Park
Addition to Elgin, in the Township of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois.
rik Also the East half of the a*y adjoining said Lot 1 and Lot 2
aforesaid in Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois,
being contiguous to the City of Elgin and not a part of any municipality be
and they are hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of Elgin be and they
are hereby enlarged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries
thereof the above described territories.
Section 3. That said territories be and they are hereby included in
R-2 Single Family Resident District as set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordi-
nance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois. )
Section 4. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an
accurate map of said annexed territories be filed with the Recorder of
Deeds of Kane County, Illinois.

Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet
form by authority of the City Council.
