• RESOLUTION
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 AND FINAL FOR THE
CONTRACT WITH HOUSEAL LAVIGNE ASSOCIATES FOR
NEW CITY OF ELGIN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin has heretofore entered into a contract with Houseal Lavigne
Associates for new City of Elgin Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to modify the terms of the contract as is described
in Change Order No. 4 and Final attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that Richard G.Kozal,City Manager,be and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute Change Order No. 4 and Final,a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference.

CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 AND FINAL
CONTRACT: City of Elgin contract with Houseal Lavigne Associates for new City of Elgin
Comprehensive Plan
SCOPE: Add to contract additional funds for editing drafts for final draft of new comprehensive plan.
REASONS FOR CHANGE: The editing of drafts for the new comprehensive plan requires adding
additional funds to the original contract amount. The changes provided by the previous change orders
and this Change Order No. 4 are germane to the original contract as signed and the previous change
orders, and this change order.No. 4 and final, are in the best interests of the City of Elgin and authorized
by law.
SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN CONTRACT AMOUNT: The amount of the contract is being
amended to add funds for editing of drafts of the new comprehensive plan.
ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT: $150,000.00

The original amount of the contract with Houseal Leavigne Associates is $150,000.00. Change Order
No. 4 in the amount of $5,997.50 and previous change orders totaling $8,919.93 will increase the
original contract amount by a total of $14,917.43, that sum representing .9.9 percent of the original
contract amount. The new contract amount, inclusive of all change orders, is $164,917.43
