RESOLUTION
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE CONTRACT WITH
ORANGE CRUSH, LLC FOR
2016 NEIGHBORHOOD STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM
(Brookside Drive)
WHEREAS,the City of Elgin has heretofore entered into a contract with Orange Crush,LLC
for 2016 Neighborhood Street Resurfacing Program; and
WHEREAS,it is necessary and desirable to modify the terms of the contract as is described
in Change Order No. 1, attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that Sean R, Stegall,City Manager,be and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute Change Order No. 1,a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

CHANGE ORDER No. 1
CONTRACT: Bid 16-026—2016 Neighborhood Street Resurfacing Program (Brookside Drive)
SCOPE: Contractor shall pave Brookside Drive from Foothill Road on the south to Knollwood
Drive on the north with an asphalt overlay of 3 inches.
REASONS FOR CHANGE: The current condition of Brookside Drive requires immediate repairs.
This change order is in the best interests of the City of Elgin and is authorized by law.
SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN CONTRACT AMOUNT:
ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT: $4,415,445.00
CHANGE ORDER No. 1
Brookside Drive Pavement Improvements $75,000.00
TOTAL FOR CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 ADD $75,000
TOTAL REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT: $4,490,445.00
The original amount of the contract with Orange Crush, LLC is $4,415,445.00. Change Order No. 1 to-
tals $75,000.00 and will increase the original contract amount by said amount, 1.70 percent of the origi-
nal contract amount. The new contract amount, inclusive of all change orders is $4,490,445.00
OTHER CONTRACT PROVISIONS: All other contract provisions remain the same.
