RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR PART OF
CAPITAL STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
(Adjacent to 1500 N. Randall Road)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that it
hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication of part of Capital Street right-of-way prepared by Manhard
Consulting, Ltd., an Illinois Land Surveyor, and dated December 19, 2013, last revised March 2,
2014, for the property legally described as follows:
That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 42 North, Range 8 East
of theThird Principal Meridian,described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast
corner of the said Southeast Quarter of Section 31; thence South 00 degrees 30
minutes 42 seconds West (bearings based on Illinois State Plan coordinate system,
NAD83,East Zone),along the East line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 31,a
distance of 1,337.70 feet to the Easterly extension of the Southerly line of Holmes
Road, as dedicated per document No. 97K033351; thence South 87 degrees 42
minutes 05 seconds West,along said Easterly extension, a distance of 60.01 feet to
the Westerly right of way line of Randall Road,said line being 60.00 feet Westerly of
measured perpendicular to, and parallel with said East line of the Southeast Quarter
of Section 31; thence continuing South 87 degrees 42 minutes 05 seconds West,
along said Southerly line of Holmes Road, a distance of 498.48 feet to the point of
beginning; thence continuing South 87 degrees 42 minutes 05 seconds West, along
said Southerly line of Holmes Road, a distance of 17.96 feet to the Easterly right of
way line of Capital Street as dedicated per document No.95 K034790;thence South
00 degrees 52 minutes 37 seconds West along said Easterly right of way line and
Southerly extension thereof, a distance of 445.36 feet; thence north 87 degrees 40
minutes 42 seconds East,a distance of 8.01 feet to a line being 8.00 feet East of and
parallel to said Easterly right of way line of Capital Street; thence North 00 degrees
52 minutes 37 seconds East, a distance of 435.42 feet; thence North 44 degrees 18
minutes 38 seconds East, a distance of 14.44 feet to point of beginning, in Kane
County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed
to cause said plat of dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois.
