RESOLUTION
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 FOR THE CONTRACT
WITH CUSTOM BUILT COMMERCIAL FENCE CORPORATION FOR
FENCE REPLACEMENT AT BLUFF CITY CEMETERY
(Phase II)
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin has heretofore entered into a contract with Custom Built
Commercial Fence Corporation for fence replacement at Bluff City Cemetery; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to modify the terms of the contract as is described
in Change Order No. 2, attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that Sean R, Stegall,City Manager,be and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute Change Order No.2,a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

PROJECT Bluff City Cemetery Fence Replacement Phase II
CHANGE ORDER No. 2
CONTRACT: Bluff City Cemetery Fence Replacement Phase II —Bid Number 15-103
SCOPE: This change order allows for the inclusion of additional quantities of fencing to be re-
placed at the Bluff City Cemetery. This change order will fund the replacement of an additional
750 feet of fencing that completes the frontage on Bluff City Boulevard and then continues
around the corner at Gifford Road. These items increase the overall cost of the project.
REASONS FOR CHANGE: The inclusion of the additional fencing quantities will complete
the replacement of the dilapidated wrought iron and rusted chain link fence at the Bluff City
Cemetery. The contractor, Custom Built Commercial Fence Corporation, has agreed to perform
the additional work for the same pricing as the bid award. The changes provided for in this
Change Order No. 2 are germane to the original contract as signed, and this Change Order is in
the best interests of the City of Elgin and authorized by law.
SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN CONTRACT AMOUNT:
ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT: $ 79,033.00

TOTAL REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT: $112,779.32
The original amount of the contract with Custom Built Commercial Fence Corporation is
$79,033.00. Change Order No. 2 totaling $30,826.00 and previous change orders totaling
$2,920.32 will increase the original contract amount by a total of$33,746.32, that sum represent-
ing 42.7% percent of the original contract amount. The new contract amount, inclusive of all
change orders is $112,779.32.
OTHER CONTRACT PROVISIONS: All other contract provisions remain the same.
