SIDE LETTER TO DECEMBER 19, 2011 THRU DECEMBER 31, 2016 AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELGIN AND CLERICAL TECHNICAL GROUP
SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 73
Subsequent to the date of this side letter, unless otherwise provided in the Collective Bargaining
Agreement, seniority shall, for the purpose of this Agreement, be defined as a non-probationary
employee's length of continuous full-time service in a position covered by the Collective
Bargaining Agreement since the employee's last date of hire, less adjustments for layoff,
approved leave of absence without pay, and all other unauthorized breaks in service. Seniority
which has been accrued pursuant to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement prior to
the date of this side letter shall remain unaffected by this side letter.
