RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHING AN HOURLY RATE FOR HIRE OF POLICE OFFICERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that
there be and is hereby established the following hourly rates for special police details:
I. Regular Members of Police Force:
Units of Local Government
and School Districts $ 55.00
All Others $ 57.00
II. Auxiliary Officers $ 18.00
III. Use of squad car $ 10.00
The rates for special police details shall be increased annually based on the general wage increase
included in the city's collective bargaining agreement with the police union.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rates established herein shall be effective on and
after January 1, 2005 and shall supersede any rates previously established.
