RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
WITH DAVID M. DORGAN
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,that
Ed Schock, Mayor, and Dolonna Mecum, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed to
execute an Amendment to Employment Contract on behalf of the City of Elgin with David M.
Dorgan for his services as City Manager of the City of Elgin,a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof by reference.

AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
This Amendment to Employment Contract Agreement entered into
this 28th day of April, 2004, by and between the CITY OF ELGIN, an
Illinois municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as the
"City" ) and DAVID M. DORGAN.
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the City and David M. Dorgan have previously entered
into an employment contract dated January 31, 2003 , between the
City and David M. Dorgan providing for David M. Dorgan' s employment
as the City Manager for the City (hereinafter referred to as the
"Subject Employment Contract" ) ; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the compensation to be
paid David M. Dorgan pursuant to said Subject Employment Contract .
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between the City and
David M. Dorgan as follows :
1 . That Section 4 of the Subject Employment Contract is
hereby amended to increase David M. Dorgan' s annual salary by three
and one/half percent (3%0) to the sum of $141, 795 annually,
commencing March 10, 2004 .
2 . That all other terms of the Subject Employment Contract
between the City and David M. Dorgan shall remain in full force and
effect .
