RESOLUTION
NAMING THE CITY OF ELGIN' S EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER AWARD
IN HONOR OF DONNA WENDLING
WHEREAS, Donna Wendling began a career with the City of Elgin
in 1971 as the secretary to the city manager and thereafter served
the city from time to time in various capacities until she passed
away in February of 2002 ; and
WHEREAS, Donna Wendling was a valued friend to her fellow city
employees and officials; and
WHEREAS, Donna Wendling was a faithful and diligent employee
for the City of Elgin and provided outstanding services to the
citizens of Elgin; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of the City Council wish to
extend the appreciation and esteem of all Elgin citizens for Donna
Wendling' s outstanding service to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of the City Council have
determined that it is appropriate to name the City of Elgin' s
Employee of the Quarter Award in honor of Donna Wendling.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin' s Employee of the
Quarter Award is hereby named in honor of Donna Wendling and such
award shall hereinafter be referred to as the Donna Wendling
Employee of the Quarter Award.
