RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT OF NONEXCLUSIVE EASEMENT
FROM THE ELGIN, JOLIET AND EASTERN RAILWAY COMPANY FOR
SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES ALONG GIFFORD ROAD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS,that Ed Schock, Mayor, and Dolonna Mecum, City Clerk, be and are hereby
authorized and directed to accept a Grant of Nonexclusive Easement from the Elgin,
Joliet and Eastern Railway Company for sanitary sewer purposes in, under and across the
property legally described in the Grant of Nonexclusive Easement, a copy of which is
attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the Grant of Nonexclusive Easement to be recorded in the Office of the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.

Subject to all easements,licenses,and agreements of record or not of record for the use,maintenance,and operation of water
lines,gas mains,oil lines,cable television lines,electrical power and light distributing lines,and sewer lines,whether public
or private,and any and all public easements.
This grant of easement does not preclude Grantor from improving the easement area,provided that such improvements do not
damage or burden any pipelines or utility lines there in and provided that no permanent structures are erected upon said easement
area.
