99-293 Resolution No . 99-293 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE USE OF THE HEMMENS CULTURAL CENTER WHEREAS, the Department of the City Manager of the City of Elgin has recommended that the fees and charges heretofore established for the use of the Hemmens Cultural Center be revised; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the recommendations of the Department of the City Manager for the years 2001, 2002 and 2003 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS : Section 1 . That from and after January 1, 2001 fees and charges for the use of the Hemmens Cultural Center shall be in accordance with the following schedule : I. Individuals and organizations with not-for-profit status will receive a 35% discount off the base building rental rate upon receipt of appropriate documentation. Elgin resident individuals and organizations will receive a 25% discount off the base building rental rate. Building rental rates on observed city and federal holidays are charged at one and a half times the base rate. Contracts will not be written with more than two consecutive days of non-use. Except where otherwise indicated, the rates are on a per contract basis. Under normal use, clean up service is included in the base rental. However, at the discretion of the building manage, sponsoring organizations will be assessed for clean up service when the building is left unusually messy or dirty. V.
