RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT WITH
RICHARD B. HELWIG
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin and Richard B. Helwig have
heretofore entered into a contract for employment by City of
Helwig as City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire that Richard B. Helwig
continue said employment and to amend said contract to
increase the annual salary to be paid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that Kevin Kelly, Mayor, and Dolonna
Mecum, City Clerk, are hereby authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Elgin, an Amendment to the
Employment Contract with Richard B. Helwig in the form
attached as Exhibit A.

AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the CITY OF ELGIN, a municipal corporation
(City) , and RICHARD B. HELWIG (Helwig) have heretofore entered
into a contract for employment by City of Helwig as City
Manager; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the compensation
to be paid Helwig.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between the City
and Helwig that said agreement is hereby amended to increase
Helwig's salary by three percent ( 3%) to the sum of $116,347 .53
annually, commencing April 11, 1996 .
