BACKGROUND In the past the Legal Department has utilized WESTLAW, pursu- ant to an agreement similar to the current proposal although the service was not utilized in 1994 . The attached agreement provides terms for the resumption of the service. COMMUNITY GROUPS/INTERESTED PERSONS CONTACTED None. FINANCIAL IMPACT The estimated cost of $8, 630 has been included in the Law Department' s 1995 budget. LEGAL IMPACT None. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Council authorize execution of the contract for WESTLAW computer legal research services .
