RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE REFUGEE TARGET ASSISTANCE
GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELGIN,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE ELGIN YWCA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that Richard B. Helwig, City Manager, and Dolonna
Mecum, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed
to execute an amendment, on behalf of the City of Elgin to the
Refugee Target Assistance Grant Agreement between the City of
Elgin, a municipal corporation, and the Elgin YWCA, to extend
the term of the agreement to and including September 30, 1994 .

GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELGIN
AND THE ELGIN YWCA
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this // / day
ofd�{�,i t:, 1994, by and between the City of Elgin, Illinois,
a muni(�ipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as the
"City" ) and the Elgin Young Women' s Christian Association
(hereinafter referred to as the "Elgin YWCA" ) ,
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City and the Elgin YWCA have previously
entered into an Agreement in December of 1993 relating to a
refugee targeted assistance grant program (hereinafter
referred to as the "Grant Agreement" ) ; and
WHEREAS, the subject Grant Agreement expired as of
June 30, 1994 ; and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to extend the
subject Grant Agreement up to and including September 30, 1994 .
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed by and between
the parties hereto, for an in consideration of the mutual
covenants and promises contained within the original Grant
Agreement, and for other good and valuable consideration, the
receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, that
the subject Grant Agreement previously entered into between
the parties shall be extended under the same terms and
conditions up to and including September 30, 1994 .
