RESOLUTION
CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF TODD FARM DRIVE
TO KINGMAN DRIVE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the public street known as Todd Farm Drive from
Lyle Avenue to Kingman Court be and the same is hereby
redesignated and renamed Kingman Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all city signs and maps shall
be altered to read Kingman Drive at the aforesaid places .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to give written notice to the election
authorities having jurisdiction in the area in which the
street name is hereby changed and to the post office branch
serving that area by certified or registered mail.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the resolution shall be in
effect thirty days after notice is given to the election
authorities and the post office as provided herein.

SUBJECT: Name Change for Portion of Todd Farm Drive
On July 13, 1994, the City Council adopted a resolution
changing that portion of Todd Farm Drive from Lyle Avenue to
Kingman Court to Kingman Drive. The resolution has been
recorded with the Kane County Recorder, and today it has been
sent to the election authorities and post office pursuant to
state statutes . A copy of said resolution is attached.
Accordingly, the name change is effective as of August 29,
1994 .
Judy, please furnish me with a list of the names and addresses
of the residents who are effected so that they may be notified.

SUBJECT: Todd Farm Drive East of Lyle Avenue
Name Change to Kingman Drive
PURPOSE
To provide the Mayor and City Council with information to
consider a street name change for a section of Todd Farm
Drive.
elk BACKGROUND
The Traffic Committee received a request from the Planning
Department to consider changing the name of Todd Farm Drive,
east off of Lyle Avenue. This request is based on the
present plans to extend the existing Todd Farm Drive, west of
McLean Boulevard, southwesterly to Big Timber Road, east of
Lyle Avenue (see attached sketch) .
The Traffic Committee agreed with the request from Planning
that this section of Todd Farm Drive east of off Lyle Avenue
should be renamed "Kingman Drive".
A survey was mailed to all 14 residents of this section of
Todd Farm Drive. Of the eight surveys returned, seven were
in favor of the recommended street name change, with one
opposed.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost of changing this street name will be $150 for the
materials and labor to change the signs to Kingman Drive and
would be charged to Account Number 010-33-21-753. 19-08.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the name of Todd Farm Drive, ' between
Lyle Avenue and Kingman Court, be changed to Kingman Drive
and that the necessary ordinance for the name change be pre-
pared.
