RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHING A HOME-BASED BUSINESSES TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to create a
Home-Based Businesses Task Force to study and review
residential property uses including home occupations and to
make recommendations concerning the regulation of such uses to
the City Council .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that the Home-Based Businesses Task
Force shall conduct such public hearings as it may determine
are necessary and shall otherwise meet and confer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Home-Based Businesses
Task Force shall make a written report of findings and
recommendations to the City Council of the desirability of
permitting home occupations in residential property and the
extent, circumstances and conditions of such uses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons are
hereby appointed as members of the Home-Based Businesses Task
Force:
John Walters, Chairman
Craig Fowler Ann Schneck
Denise Harding-Hopkins Donald J. Sleeman
Hilma Nelson Gwendolyn Whiston
Ronald J. Schmerber
The task force shall conduct its meetings in accordance with
the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
