RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHING A BASKETBALL GOAL TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to create a
Basketball Goal Task Force to study and review the ordinance
which permits basketball goals in the public right of way under
certain conditions and to make findings and recommendations
concerning whether said ordinance should be continued, amended
or repealed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that the Basketball Goal Task Force
shall conduct such public hearings as it may determine are
necessary and shall otherwise meet and confer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Basketball Goal Task Force
shall make a written report of findings and recommendations to
the City Council within sixty days .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons are
hereby appointed as members of the Basketball Goal Task Force:
Marie Yearman, Chairman
Allen Anderson Steve Lundy
Mary Kae Hoffman Karen Millikan
Bernard J. Jensen Melba Perry
The task force shall conduct its meetings in accordance with the
Illinois Open Meetings Act.
