LORD'S PARK POOL IMPROVEMENTS
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
SCOPE: This Change Order No . 1 covers the necessary painting
inside of the pool and required deck painting as noted
below:
Paint lane lines on pool bottom
Paint crosses on pool walls at lane lines
Paint depth numerals at pool edge
Paint solid standback line around pool perimeter
Paint walking signs on pool deck
The general contractor operating under contract to the
City of Elgin is Paris Contracting Company , of Chicago ,
Illinois 60652 .
REASONS FOR CHANGE: This change order is required in order
to comply with Illinois state law by having the specified deck
painting . The lane lines are required in order to allow for
lap swimming at the pool .
SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN CONTRACT AMOUNT: The amount of the contract
will be revised as follows :
ITEM ADD
Swimming Pool Lane Lines , six ( 6) lane lines and $1 ,250 .00
twelve ( 12 ) wall crosses; Lump Sum .
Deck and Depth Marker Painting , eight (8) walk $1 , 100. 00
signs, four inch solid standback line, and depth
numerals every twenty-five feet ; Lump Sum.
The present contract with Paris Contracting Company is for
$103, 367.00. After the contract was awarded , the Contractor
realized that he had mis-quoted two unit costs. These costs
were revised downward making the revised contract for-
$88,967.00 . Due to increased quantities of some items , the
estimated contract amount will be for $90,500.00. By reason
of this Change Order No . 1 , the contract for the Lord ' s Park
Pool Improvements will be increased in the amount of Two
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ( $2,350 .00 ) , the total
contract value being Ninety Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty
Dollars ( $92,850.00) .
OTHER CONTRACT PROVISIONS: All other contract provisions shall
remain the same.
