r RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Lyle Avenue)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication
for a public street prepared by Harold C. Westphal, Jr. , an
Illinois Land Surveyor, and dated November 18, 1991, for the
property legally described as follows :
That part of the Southeast quarter of Section 4
and part of the Northeast quarter of Section 9, both
in Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as follows : Beginning
at the Northwest corner of Valley Creek Unit No. 12,
being a subdivision of part of the said Northeast
quarter of Section 9; thence northeasterly, along
the northeasterly extension of the westerly line of
North Lyle Avenue, according to said Valley Creek
Unit No. 12, being along a curve to the right having
a radius of 1677 .69 feet and a chord bearing of
North 28 degrees 31 minutes 56 seconds East, an arc
distance of 9 . 87 feet; thence North 28 degrees 42
minutes 03 seconds East, tangent to the last
described curve, a distance of 355 .53 feet; thence
northeasterly, along a curve to the left having a
radius of 632 . 71 feet, tangent to the last described
course, an arc distance of 149 . 78 feet; thence North
15 degrees 08 minutes 13 seconds East, tangent to
the last described curve, hereinafter referred to as
Line "A" , a distance of 131 .00 feet to the southerly
right of way line of the Chicago and Northwestern
Railway Company; thence South 80 degrees 56 minutes
43 seconds East, along said southerly right of way
line, a distance of 80 .45 feet to a line that is
80 . 00 feet, measured at right angles, easterly of
and parallel with the aforesaid Line "A" ; thence
South 15 degrees 08 minutes 13 seconds West,
parallel with said Line "A", a distance of 139 .52
feet; thence southwesterly, along a curve to the
right having a radius of 712 . 71 feet, tangent to the
last described course, an arc distance of 168 . 72
feet; thence South 28 degrees 42 minutes 03 seconds
West, tangent to the last described curve, a
distance of 345. 66 feet to the Northeast corner of
North Lyle Avenue according to said Valley Creek
Unit No. 12; thence North 75 degrees 09 minutes 46
seconds West, along a northerly line of said Valley
Creek Unit No. 12, a distance of 82 . 37 feet to the
point of beginning. Being situated in the City of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois and containing 1 . 19
acres more or less .

hereby authorized and directed to cause said plat of
dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois .
