92-66 RESOLUTION
DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON DEVELOPMENT PETITIONS
WHEREAS, a proposed comprehensive amendment to the city's
zoning ordinance has been prepared and is being reviewed by
the city' s planning committee and will be the subject of
public hearings; and
WHEREAS, applications for the annexation, zoning or
subdivision of territory may not comply with the comprehensive
amendment, as adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
1 . That it finds and determines that it is in the public
interest that no further applications for the annexation,
zoning or subdivision of territory be accepted while the
proposed comprehensive amendment to the zoning ordinance is
being considered.
2 . That from and after March 21, 1992 no applications
for the annexation, zoning or subdivision of territory shall
be accepted until July 10, 1992 .
