92-300 RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Highland Avenue)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication
for a public street prepared by Robert G. Sowka, an Illinois
Land Surveyor, and dated September 3, 1992, for the property
legally described as follows :
That part of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 16 ,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, bounded by a line described as
follows : Commencing at the intersection of the
Southerly extension of the West line of North Lyle
Avenue as shown on the Plat of Dedication thereof,
recorded April 18, 1979, as Document No. 1500679,
with the center line of Highland Avenue; thence
North 00° 00 ' 00" West, along said Southerly
extension, 33 .55 feet to the Northerly right-of-way
line of said Highland Avenue and the point of
beginning of the parcel to be described; thence
North 79° 34 ' 05" West, along said right-of-way
line, 227 . 89 feet; thence North 10° 25 ' 09" East,
7 . 00 feet; thence South 79° 34 ' 05" East, parallel
with said Northerly right-of-way line, 226 .61 feet
to a point in the West line of North Lyle Avenue, as
aforesaid; thence South 00° 00 ' 00" East, along said
West line, 7 . 12 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 1,590 . 74 square feet or 0 . 0365 acres,
more or less, in the City of Elgin, Kane County,
Illinois .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to cause said plat of
dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois .
