92-0722 1555 LARKIN AVENUE LEASE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT ( 1555 Larkin Avenue) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that Larry L. Rice, City Manager, and Dolonna Mecum, City Clerk, be and are hereby respectively authorized and directed to execute a written lease agreement with U-46 School District for the premises commonly known as 1555 Larkin Avenue, Elgin, Illinois, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. s/ George VanDeVoorde George VanDeVoorde, Mayor Presented: July 22, 1992 Adopted: July 22, 1992 Vote: Yeas 5 Nays 0 Recorded: Attest: s/ Dolonna Mecum Dolonna Mecum, City Clerk Committee of the Whole Meeting Page 3 Memorandum regarding Purchase of Service Agreement with the Elgin Area Childcare Initiative Councilwoman Yearman made a motion, seconded by Councilman Fox, to approve the aforementioned proposed agreement. Yeas : Councilmembers Fox, Moylan, Popple, Walters, Yearman, and Mayor VanDeVoorde. Nays : None. Decision on Fire Station #4 disposition Representatives from the Evangelical Covenant Church of Elgin and Larkin High School were present and both expressed interest in leasing the Fire Station #4 property. Councilman Walters made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Moylan, to enter into a five-year lease agreement with School District U-46 to lease the subject property to the school district for $1 per year. Yeas : Councilmembers Fox, Moylan, Popple, Walters, Yearman, and Mayor VanDeVoorde. Nays : None. Amendment to the engineering agreement with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly for additional design services related to the reconstruction of Shales Parkway Councilman Walters made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Popple, to approve the aforementioned amendment. Yeas : Councilmembers Fox, Moylan, Popple, Walters, Yearman, and Mayor VanDeVoorde. Nays : None. Agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation and Kane County for the widening of Big Timber Road between McLean Boulevard and Randall Road Councilman Walters made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Moylan, to approve the aforementioned agreement. Yeas : Councilmembers Fox, Moylan, Popple, Walters, Yearman, and Mayor VanDeVoorde. Nays: None. Adjournment Councilwoman Yearman made a motion, seconded by Councilman Walters, to adjourn the meeting and go into the regular Council meeting.
