90-0926 Military Service 90-o9a'. RESOLUTION EXTENDING MILITARY SERVICE BENEFITS TO EMPLOYEES ACTIVATED BY ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT WHEREAS, on August 22 , 1990, the President of the United States activated military reservists and members of the National Guard to support United States military forces in the Middle East; and WHEREAS, certain employees of the City of Elgin may be called to active duty as a result of the President' s action of August 22, 1990 or pursuant to further action of the President; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to continue the salary and benefits of such employees who are called to active duty to support United States military forces in the Middle East. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that employees called to active military service to support United States military forces in the Middle East shall be compensated, during such active service, the difference between such employees military pay and their salary or compensation paid by the City of Elgin.
