RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTING
FOR SOIL BORINGS FOR THE RIVER TRAIL PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that James J. Cook, City Manager, be and is hereby authorized and directed to accept
the proposal on behalf of the City of Elgin of Quality Assurance Testing for soil borings
for the River Trail Project, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference.

Dear Sir:
We are pleased to submit the following proposal for the performance of
a subsurface investigation at the site indicated above, and the preparation
of an engineering report with recommendations pertinent to construction
considerations and foundation design.
Our fee for the performance of the above services will be based upon unit
prices. An estimate of the total cost of the investigation and report is
enclosed. It must be understood that, while the unit prices are firm, the
number of units may be subject to change depending upon the subsurface
conditions which are encountered. Unless additional drilling in excess of
that inidcated in the estimate is required, or excessive set-up time is
involved due to site conditions; the total estimated cost may be considered
as a "not to exceed" value.
If the above proposal meets with your approval, please sign one copy and
return it to our office.
