AUTHORIZING JOINT PETITION BY SANITARY DISTRICT OF ELGIN AND
CITY OF ELGIN AND THE ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
FOR EXCEPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT RELATING TO COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW
TRANSPORT AND TREATMENT FACILITIES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that Richard L. Verbic, Mayor, be and is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of
Elgin, and directed to execute an appropriate form petition with the Sanitary District of
Elgin and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for an exception to the require-
ments of the Environmental Protection Act relating to the construction and operation of
certain combined sewer overflow transport and treatment facilities within the City of
Elgin and to execute all necessary documents in connection therewith.
