LETTER OF AGREEMENT
I . Eight , single sided City Entrance Sins as per design
within Preliminary Designs on Sheet No-. 6 , upper right
corner and approximate scale model in possession of
the Elgin Beautification Commission.
1 . A11signsto be of Premium Grade Douglas Fir ,
pressure treated with "Cellon" preservative
and laminated with waterproof adhesive by
The Weyerhaeuser Company.
2 . All final fabrication, shaping, finishing and
hand carving of graphics to be first class and
equal the standard of previous work shown to
and approved by the Beautification Commission.
3 . All graphics to be handcarved deep, sharp and
accurate and to be finished with a minimum of
four coats of epoxy paint . . . ( final color to be
selected) .
4 . All wood to be finished with Olympic Semi-
Transparent Stain within a light color range
to provide a strong contrast for the painted
graphics .
. II . All signs to be delivered to Elgin ready for installa-
tion-or safe storage by the City.
The minimum of four signs are to be ready for installa-
tion this year. It is intended that all eight signs
will be delivered at one time.
III . Cost of the above aspects only shall be twenty three
thousand, twenty four dollars ($23 ,024.00) for the
eight signs ready to install .
1 . Purchase Order (or Orders) and payment is to
be made to Harry ' lleeler , 166 N. Portage Patli,
Akron, Ohio 44303 on the following schedule:
