75-0626 Lime Removel AGREEMENT
This agreement made and entered into this Q day of ,
1975, between Edward Schneider, and City of Elgin, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin,
Illinois, hereinafter called "City."
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the Slade Avenue water treatment plant of the City of Elgin
requires lime sludge removal; and
WHEREAS, Edward Schneider has submitted his proposal to remove said
lime sludge; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois, has authorized
a contract with Edward Schneider to remove lime sludge.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL PROMISES AND CONDITIONS
CONTAINED HEREIN the parties agree as follows:
1. That Edward Schneider shall remove lime sludge from the Slade
Avenue water treatment plant owned and operated by the City of Elgin.
2. That Edward Schneider shall transport said lime sludge to suitable
dumps.
3. That Edward Schneider shall cause said lime sludge to be removed
in watertight vehicles.
4. That Edward Schneider shall prior to commencement of work under
this agreement provide the City of Elgin with a certificate of insurance to
the City of Elgin showing good and sufficient insurance coverage for any and
all claims that may arise out of the performance of this agreement and shall
otherwise indemnify and hold harmless the City of Elgin against all claims
for damages arising out of this contract.
5. City of Elgin agrees to pay Edward Schneider the sum of $3.70
per cubic yard of lime sludge removed.
6. City of Elgin shall make payment under the terms of this agreement
in 30 days following the receipt of a written statement for work performed under
this agreement.
