RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO-EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH VICTOR MANUFACTURING & GASKET COMPANY, .AN ILLINOIS COR-
PORATION, .PERTAINING TO THE ACQUISITION AND MAINTENANCE OF A
SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM.
WHEREAS,. Victor:-Manufacturing .& Gasket Company, andllinois :corpo.ra-
-tion, is in the process of providing for -the annexation of certain property owned
by it contiguous to the City of"Elgin, .Illinois, to said municipality, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable, both for the City of Elgin and for the said
annexing territories., that provisions be made for -the proper treatment and dis-
posal of sewerage, and
WHEREAS, .in the opinion of the-City Council, a.contract so providing
should be executed by the. City with the said Victor --Manufacturing & Gasket
Company to accomplish such purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT-RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE'CITY OF ELGIN, .ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City.-Clerk of the City of Elgin be, and
they hereby are, authorized, empowered, directed and instructed, for and on
• behalf of the City, to execute an agreement with Victor.:Manufacturing .& Gasket
Company, .an Illinois corporation.
. Section 2. That a true copy of said agreement entitled, "Sanitary
;Sewerage System Agreement", is attached hereto and made a part of this reso-
lution as--Exhibit "A".
Section 3. , That a .true copy of this resolution, with the -attached .exhibit,
shall be placed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection for-at .Least
7 days prior -to action hereon.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its
adoption.
