AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Portions of 901 and 1000 Corron Road)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain territory has been filed
with the City Clerk requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS,said petition includes therein a statement under oath by all the owners of record
that no electors reside on the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS,legal notices of the intent of the City of Elgin to annex said territory have been
forwarded to all public bodies required to receive said notice in the manner provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory and lands described as follows be and are annexed to and
made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged
and extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin said territory:
Parcel 1:
That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26,Township 41 North,Range 7,East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 10 in Unit No. 1 Saddlebrook, Plato
Township, Kane County, Illinois; thence Easterly 80.00 feet to the East line of
Corron Road;thence Southerly along said East line,480.70 feet to the South line of
said Northeast Quarter; thence Westerly a long the South line of said Northeast
Quarter, 394.89 feet to a point 300.00 feet West of the West line of said Corron
Road;thence Northerly,parallel with and 300.00 feet West of the West line of said
Corron Road, 603.44 feet to the Southerly line of said Unit No. 1 Saddlebrook;
thence Easterly, along said Southerly line, 335.78 feet to the place of beginning,in
Kane County, Illinois.
Described parcel containing 4.47 acres.
Parcel 2:
That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26,Township 41 North,Range 7,East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter
of said Section 26;thence Southerly along the East line of the Southwest Quarter of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 26, 89.52 feet(measure=99.30 feet)to a line
drawn parallel with and 175.20 feet Northerly(measured along a line drawn parallel
with the centerline of Corron Road)of the North line of the South 1055.92 feet of
the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 26(measured at right
angles to the South lien of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said
Section 26); thence Westerly parallel with and 300.00 feet West of said West line,
1349.30 feet to the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
said Section 26;thence Southerly along said West line,845.82 feet;thence Easterly
94.92 feet to the East line of said Corron Road; thence Southerly, along said East
line 354.78 feet to the south line of said Northeast Quarter of said Southeast
Quarter;thence Westerly,along said South line,60.89 feet to the place of beginning,
in Kane County, Illinois.
Described parcel containing 6.54 acres.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said
territories shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage
in the manner provided by law.
