HomeMy WebLinkAboutG6-98 Ordinance No. G6-98 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11 . 48 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976 , AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "SKATEBOARDS" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That Section 11 . 48 . 010 entitled "Skateboard Defined" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby amended by amending same to read as follows : " 11 . 48 . 010 DEFINITIONS . As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings : "Central Business District" shall mean an area bounded by the north side of Kimball Street on the north, the east side of Center Street on the east, east side of Villa Street, the south side of National Street on the south and the west side of State Street on the west, excepting the bicycle path. " "Skateboard" shall mean a piece of board or similar shaped material to which wheels are attached. " Section 2 . That all ordinance or portions of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed. Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its passage and publication in the manner provided by law. . I further certify that on January 14, 1998, the Corporate Authorities of such municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. G7-98, entitled An Ordinance Amending Certain Traffic and Parking Restrictions Within the City of Elgin, which provided by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form. The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G7-98, including the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building, commencing on January 15, 1998, and continuing for at least ten days thereafter.
