COUNTY OF KANE ) CERTIFICATE I, Dolonna Mecum, certify that I am the duly appointed and acting municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane Counties, Illinois. I further certify that on May 27, 1998, the Corporate Authorities of such municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. G46-98, entitled An Ordinance Amending Chapter 6.06 Entitled "Alcoholic Liquor Dealers" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as Amended, Regarding Background Checks, which provided by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form. The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G45-98, including the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building, commencing on May 29, 1998, and continuing for at least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public inspection upon request in the office of the municipal clerk. DATED at Elgin, Illinois, on March 29, 1998. Municipa C erk (SEAL) Ordinance No. G46-98 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 . 06 ENTITLED "ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS" OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That Section 6 . 06 . 070C of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976 , as amended, be and is hereby further amended by amending Subparagraph 9 thereof to read as follows : "9 . A list of convictions of the applicant for any non-traffic violations of any ordinance or statute of any city, county or state or of the federal government, indicating the names of the offenses and dates of conviction. The applicant shall also execute all necessary documents providing for the applicant ' s authorization for the city to conduct non-fingerprint criminal history conviction background checks . The costs of such criminal history conviction background checks shall be paid by the applicant. " Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed. Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication in the manner provided by law.
