Ordinance No. G32-95
AN ORDINANCE
CLASSIFYING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED TERRITORY
(2820 Weld Road)
WHEREAS, the territory herein described has been annexed
to the City of Elgin; and
WHEREAS, written application has been made to classify
said territory in the SFR2 Single Family Residence District;
and
WHEREAS, after due notice in the manner provided by law
the Planning and Development Commission conducted a public
hearing concerning said application and has submitted its
written findings and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois,
has reviewed the findings and recommendations of the Planning
and Development Commission and concurs in its recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
few Section 1 . That Chapter 19 . 07, Section 19 . 07 . 600
entitled "Zoning District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976 , as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the
' Zoning District Map' , as amended, be and are hereby
altered by including in the SFR2 Single Family
Residence District the following described property:
That part of the North Half of Section 17,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian described as follows : Commencing
at the intersection of the westerly line of Lot 1 of
the Northwest Quarter of said Section 17 , according
to the Assessor' s Map of 1870, also being the
westerly line of land conveyed to Northern Illinois
Gas Company by deed dated November 19, 1965 as Doc.
No. 1060432, with the center line of highway (U.S.
Route 20) ; thence southeasterly along said
centerline of highway (U.S. Route 20) a distance of
230 . 0 feet for a place of beginning; thence N
0°51 ' 34" E, a distance of 329 . 94 feet to the
easterly line of said land conveyed to Northern
Illinois Gas Company; thence N 29°47 ' 57" E along
•► said easterly line of land conveyed to Northern
Illinois Gas Company, a distance of 1264 . 68; thence
S 60°12 ' 03" E, a distance of 613 .28 feet; thence S
10°20 ' 35" E, a distance of 265. 74 feet to the North
line of Randall Ridge Unit No. 3 being a subdivision
of part of said North 1/2 of Section 17 recorded as
Doc . No. 92K86851 in Kane County, Illinois; thence
along said North line of Randall Ridge Unit No. 3
for the following 8 courses; 1) thence N 87°42 ' 14"
W, a distance of 50 . 25 feet; 2) thence S 84°37 ' 01"
W, a distance of 88 . 39 feet; 3) thence S 76°56 ' 16"
W, a distance of 88 . 39 feet; 4 ) thence S 69°15 ' 31"
W, a distance of 88 . 39 feet; 5) thence S 61°34 ' 46"
W, a distance of 88 . 39 feet; 6) thence S 53°54 ' 01"
W, a distance of 88 . 39 feet; 7) thence S 46°59 ' 53"
W, a distance of 70 .52 feet; 8) thence S 43°56 ' 09"
W, a distance of 183 . 18 feet to the westerly line of
said Randall Ridge Unit No. 3; thence along said
westerly line of Randall Ridge Unit No. 3 for the
following three courses; 1) thence S 46°03 ' 51" E, a
distance of 299 . 66 feet to a point of curvature;
2) thence southeasterly along a curve concave to the
Southwest and having a radius of 465 . 00 feet, arc
length of 524 . 99 feet to a point tangency; 3) thence
S 18°37 ' 25" W, a distance of 136 .48 feet to said
centerline of highway (U.S. Route 20) ; thence
northwesterly along said centerline of highway, a
distance of 916 .24 feet to the place of beginning.

feet to the place of beginning.
And also that part of Orchard Lane (a public
road) lying in Hidden Hill Subdivision being a
resubdivision in that part of Sections 8 and 17 ,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, per Doc. No. 1534098 described
as follows : Commencing at the northerly common lot
corner of Lots 38 and 39 in said Hidden Hill
Subdivision; thence N 26°07 ' 45" E along the easterly
line of Hidden Hill Subdivision, a distance of
953 . 14 feet to the place of beginning; thence N
63°52 ' 15" W, a distance of 66 . 00 feet to the
westerly line of said Orchard Lane; thence N
26°07 ' 45" E along said westerly line of Orchard
Lane, a distance of 160 . 00 feet; thence S 60°12 ' 03"
E, a distance of 66 . 14 to said easterly line of
Hidden Hill Subdivision; thence S 26°07 ' 45" W along
said easterly line of Hidden Hill Subdivision, a
distance of 156 . 37 feet to said place of beginning.
And also that part of Route 20 lying southerly
and adjacent to said centerline. "
Section 2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage in the manner
provided by law.
