AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G66-86 GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
FOR A CHURCH
(454 Hickory Place)
WHEREAS, written application has been made to amend the
special use heretofore granted for a church at 454 Hickory
Place; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning and Subdivision Hearing Board
conducted a public hearing after due notice in the manner
required by law and has submitted its written findings and
recommended approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois,
concurs in the findings and recommendations of the Zoning and
Subdivision Hearing Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of Elgin
hereby adopts the findings of fact made by the Zoning and
Subdivision Hearing Board, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A.
Section 2 . That an amendment to a special use for a
church at 454 Hickory Place granted by Ordinance G17-92 over
the following legally described property:
Parcel 1 :
The South 1/2 of the West 5 rods of Lot 1 of
T. Schoonhoven's Addition to Elgin, in the City of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois;
Parcel 2 :
The South 1/2 of the East 82 . 5 feet of Lot 1 of
T. Schoonhoven' s Addition to Elgin, in the City of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois .
Parcel 3 :
The North 1/2 of the East 5 rods of the
T. Schoonhoven' s Addition to Elgin, in the City of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois .
be and is hereby granted subject to the following conditions :

1 . Compliance with the site plan, prepared by
Bethesda Church of God in Christ, dated October 29,
1991, revised November 13, 1991, November 21, 1991,
January 3, 1992, February 26, 1992, and July 11,
1994 .
2 . Compliance with the sign plan, prepared by
Bethesda Church of God in Christ, dated May 5, 1994 ,
revised July 28, 1994 .
3 . Construction of all improvements shall be
in compliance with all applicable codes and
ordinances .
4 . Construction of the following additional
structures shall be permitted at the subject
property without further amendment to the
conditional use, if said additional structures are
in compliance with all applicable codes and
ordinances :
-- fences;
-- signs;
-- obstructions in yards generally.
5 . Compliance with all other applicable codes
and ordinances .
Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
